What Helped Me

These pregnancy loss resources are the ones I’ve personally found most comforting and helpful - through loss itself and the journey of pregnancy after loss. Each one offers something different, whether it’s understanding, connection, or reassurance when you need it most. Take what resonates, leave what doesn’t, and know that support is out there whenever you’re ready.

🌿 Therapy & Counseling

Finding the right therapist can be life-changing. Look for someone who specializes in perinatal grief, trauma, or pregnancy loss. A compassionate professional can help you process your grief, navigate triggers, and rebuild hope at your own pace.

You can start by searching for trauma-informed or perinatal grief therapists on Psychology Today or Postpartum Support International’s directory.

Online communities can be a lifeline—especially in moments when you feel alone. Many parents find comfort in connecting with others who understand this kind of loss firsthand.

Some of the Facebook groups that really helped me were ones such as:

  • Miscarriage and Pregnancy Loss Support
  • Pregnancy Loss, Stillbirth, Miscarriage & Infant Loss Support Group
  • Rainbows After A Storm – TTC, Pregnancy And Babies After Loss
  • PALS – Pregnancy After Loss Support Group

These groups offer compassionate spaces to share your story, ask questions, and simply be seen.

For many families, joining a virtual group provides the chance to connect face-to-face with others walking a similar path.

The Star Legacy Foundation offers free support meetings led by trained facilitators for bereaved parents, grandparents, and those pregnant again after loss. Return to Zero: HOPE also hosts small, heartfelt groups that create space for grief, hope, and healing.
